Job Context
- Star Porcelain Limited is one of the largest table ware ceramics industries in Bangladesh a Joint Venture with Lebanon, Luxembourg and France is looking for suitable candidate for the following position;
Job Description / Responsibility
- Planning, Studying, and collecting production & cost element data from manufacturing unit to determine unit costs of finished product,
- Recalculate and review accuracy of material landed cost.
- Set product price based on unit cost, market price comparison and other factors.
- Maintain cost accounting database for product group/production sub unit of factory.
- Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in ERP system.
- Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports on variance comparing standard costs with actual costs.
- Responsible for providing recommendations on suitable areas of cost control in the production process through process improvement.
- Prepare estimation/target costing of new and proposed product.
- Prepare & review project feasibility report.
- Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) forecasted expenses of the overall company.
- Maintain liaison with factory & supply chain department for gathering relevant information.
- Perform month end close activities related to Cost Accounting.
- Looking after the plants budget and accounting system.
- Providing for the accurate, complete and timely submission of required financial reports, forecasts, quotations, budgets, rates and analyses.
- Developing and oversee the finance and accounting staff as well as the manager-claims, manager-information services, and manager-administrative services.
- Guide to Finance and Accounts team in day-to-day finance and accounts matters.
- Organize and control the company’s annual budget.
- Present annual budget to management and guide them for cost optimization.
- Create financial dashboards, and financial statements.
- Prepare all types of financial report in timely and accurate manner for internal and external purposes.
- Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies.
- Prepare long, medium and short term financial plans.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and petty cash
- Cost Benefit Analysis of each activity in business Processes, identifying key and critical processes to operate at optimum Cost.
- Reconciliation Statements related to finance & accounts.
- Maintaining Liaison with Bank and others financial institutes
- Operating accounting related software
- Dealing with Tax/VAT / Company Act, etc.
Job Nature
- Full-time
Educational Requirements
- M.Com / MBA in Accounting from any reputed university.
- ACA/ ACMA part qualified will be preferred.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Accounts, Internal Audit, Commercial/Export-Import - The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Cement Industry, Chemical Industries, Multinational Companies, Sanitary ware, Tiles/Ceramic
