World UFO Day

World UFO Day is a day for everyone who is curious about the paranormal. On July 2, which marks the anniversary of the alleged UFO crash in Roswell in 1947, the holiday is honored. Ufologists and other interested parties assemble on this day to scan the sky for Unidentified Flying Objects. People who celebrate this day advocate for the government to release classified records about UFO sightings.

On June 24, when aviator Kenneth Arnold reported what is regarded as the first UFO sighting in the United States, some people chose to mark this occasion.

History of World UFO Day

World UFO Day was established by WorldUFODay.com in 2001 with the goal of uniting UFO enthusiasts and the evidence they have all amassed to prove their reality. Knowing that there is an almost 100% chance that we may one day come across intelligent life elsewhere in the cosmos, they understood how important it was for people to start talking about their arrival before there was conclusive evidence that they had done so.

Everyone who knows anything about UFOs is aware of the reports of abductions and what is regarded as the turning point in UFO history, the crash at Roswell. Many of them think they have already come. Even though they think that governments around the world are currently keeping this information secret from the public, believers do not let this deter them from continuing to look for the truth they are confident is out there.

World UFO Day Facts

At least nine strange objects were observed flying above Washington on June 24 according to pilot Kenneth Arnold from the 1900s. He characterized them as formations resembling saucers.
In the meanwhile, after the Roswell incident, UFO hypotheses first gained attention. According to UFO watchers, a flying saucer carrying aliens touched down outside Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947.
Three brief movies that the Pentagon published in 2020 depicting “unidentified aircraft phenomena” were very popular among UFO enthusiasts.

Later, the department of defense revealed that the recordings were shot in 2004 and 2005 by US Navy pilots. The videos were leaked in 2007 and 2017 and have since been making the rounds on the internet.

World UFO Day celebrates

This day is often observed by UFO enthusiasts who search for “undisputed proof” proving the existence of UFOs or who wish to make a case for their reality.

On this day, UFO enthusiasts or believers host themed gatherings where they discuss UFO-related lore and conspiracy theories. Utilizing telescopes, they assemble to observe the sky. A typical occurrence at gatherings in recent years has been science fiction readings and the showing of films involving space travel. Such events, however, are not possible this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

What is a UFO?

It is an ill-defined flying object that cannot be quickly identified or described. Reports of extraterrestrial spaceships passing by or visiting the earth are referred to as UFO sightings. As the majority of UFOs have been discovered, examined, or are phenomena in general, they have been the focus of numerous conspiracy theories to date.

Happy World UFO Day

The World UFO Day Organization (WUFODO) subsequently designated July 2 as UFO Day to promote awareness of “the existence of UFOs and with that intelligent entity from outer space” that would disprove the idea that we are alone in the cosmos. WUFODO’s goal was to get governments to declassify records on alleged UFO encounters while stressing that “the most important thing is that people collectively open their minds to the subject for one day and send out the word that UFOs are welcome on this earth.”

Who started the World UFO day?

The World UFO Day Organization (WUFODO), founded in 2001, opted to observe this day on July 2.  Because most UFO enthusiasts congregated on this day to display “proof” of extraterrestrial life.
